Parking Procedures
All boarders, students, and visitors please park in the parking lot outside the main entrance gate (first lot on the right as soon as you enter CCA driveway). If you need to drop off a student for a lesson, please drop them off at the gate. This is a mandatory safety requirement to protect our students, horses, and especially our smaller residents Ralph, Leatha, Suede, Chaps, Junior, Inky, Osca, and the senior ranking officer, Duke. Thank you for your careful attention to this most important procedure.

Student Information
Prior to enrollment at CCA, all new students are required to complete a registration/release form. Most students enroll for a weekly class. We offer discounted rates when paying by the month, instead of a class-by-class basis.
Also, we now offer a 10% family discount: First student pays full rates; additional family members receive 10% discount off their tuition.
Lesson Payment Due Dates: Tuition is based on the number of weeks in each month. Lessons paid on a monthly basis are discounted. Monthly payment is due by the 5th day of each month. If payment is not made by the first lesson taken, a $10 late fee will be assessed. A 30 notice is required when discontinuing your lessons.
Lessons: All students should arrive at least 15-20 minutes prior to their lesson start time to groom and tack. Beginner lessons include 15 minutes of groom and tack instruction before and after the lesson. If your horse is being ridden in a lesson preceding yours, please feel free to assist any others in grooming and tacking. At CCA we emphasize individual responsibility and each rider is accountable for the care of his/her grooming station and riding equipment. All items must be returned to proper storage. Horse assignments are determined by instructor.
Hunt Seat Riding Lessons Group (1 Hour): $130.00/Month Semi_Private (1/2 hr): $130.00/Month Private (1/2 hr): $170.00/Month
All rates are based on a 4-week month and 1 lesson per week.
Make-Up Lessons: Students are encouraged to attend all classes. CCA requires 24 hour advance cancellation notification for missed classes. If notice is not given at least 24 hours prior to lesson start time, a fee will be assessed. Make-up classes must be scheduled/completed by the 5th day of the following month. Due to the increase in students, and a tighter schedule, no more than two make-ups per semester may be scheduled.
Inclement Weather Policy: When we have inclement weather, lessons will be taught in the classroom. A maximum of two classroom lessons will be scheduled per semester. If a third interruption due to inclement weather occurs within the semester, CCA will call to cancel and reschedule lesson.
Safety: All students must follow posted barn rules.
Required Attire: CCA does provide helmets, however for proper fit we encourage students to buy their own. For safety, helmets must be ASTM and SEI approved (no bike helmets). ASTM stands for American Society for Testing and Materials. The SEI certification means that the helmet has been constructed specifically for horse sports, and the materials and design have been tested and inspected.
Riding Boots (shoe or boot with 1-inch heel and a sole with low tread). No tennis shoes please.
Britches (leggings, stretch pants, jeans acceptable)
Sunscreen and water are also essential.

Barn Rules
Please be respectful of each other, instructors, boarders and barn employees.
Wear proper riding attire: smooth sole shoes with a small heel, long pants or britches. CCA provides riding helmets.
Do not enter the pastures or paddocks without the instructors' permission.
No running or yelling is allowed.
Please park in the designated parking area (will be on your right as you enter CCA driveway).
All dogs must be kept on a short leash. Dogs are not to enter the ring while riders and horses are in the ring. Dogs are also to be kept out of the barn. Any dogs barking or chasing cats will not be welcome back. Please clean up after your dogs and remember CCA has six rescue barn cats and two dogs that call this home.
Observe the posted warning signs for the electric fence.
Place all trash in the trash receptacles.
No baby/child strollers permitted in the barn.
No young children allowed unattended in the barn. | | |
